I’m a Nutritionist, Intuitive Eating Counsellor and Advanced Reiki Practitioner who is passionate about helping people to improve their relationship with food and body image, leaving the dieting behind once and for all.

Having a healthy diet isn’t just about getting in your five a day, it’s about how food makes you feel. We all come from different backgrounds and have different lifestyles, which means there is no one size fits all when it comes to deciding what to eat. If food causes any kind of distress (which is very common in today’s society of diet culture), then it is not a healthy diet.

Non-diet approaches such as Intuitive Eating are designed to help you tune back in with your natural hunger signals and break the diet cycle. Intuitive Eating is one of the tools which Hattie uses alongside her scientific nutrition background and nutritional counselling skills, to help her clients achieve food freedom and happiness within their lives. What is Intuitive Eating?

Intuitive Eating is a learning process, which involves tuning back into the body’s natural appetite signals, alongside unlearning potentially unhealthy restrictive eating patterns that have been picked up through dieting. It involves resetting so that you can eat to feel good without any food guilt, enjoy moving your body because it feels good, and tools to help cope with emotional eating. It is a scientifically backed approach, with evidence showing intuitive eating to be associated with greater body appreciation and satisfaction, greater life satisfaction and greater motivation to exercise.

“Working with Hattie was a joy. She is open and intuitive but direct with her approach. I had 4/5 sessions with her but there was a lot of support around the sessions as well. She opened my mind to new ways of looking at diet culture, my relationship to food and my body image and was kind in her style.
